December 27, 2001 Just when the year was beginning to be good... Personal problems, self-conflicts, mind/spirit-boggling questions... I'm sorry if these things aren't related to Viper_A's Wallpapers in any way. But this site has become my outlet for the past 4-5 years. I just had to let that out... December 23, 2001 The NGE/Eva Wallpaper Gallery is getting popular! I'll try to upload more wallpapers. The uploading of zipped/compressed files have been temporarily halted because of server problems. Hey y'all! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! This is one of my merrier Christmas seasons because of some things: My best friend Ieleen is STILL my best friend I'm through with my diploma course in Thames (hopefully) I got a job I'm earning I got myself a BIG present: a PlayStation2! (yep, my DC and Saturn are still VERY alive) I've seen Gran Turismo 3 and played it got the opportunity to play Xenogears, Chrono Trigger, and Chrono Cross all over again for 2, 6, and 3 times already respectively! I've got a set of Magic Knight Rayearth DVDs coming I've also got a Saturn game of Magic Knight Rayearth coming (YEAH!! after 5 years of searching I finally got it!) finally, but not least, CLUB beat mania has a new member! October 30, 2001 Ok, the 4 new Ranma wallpapers can be seen in the 2nd page of the Ranma Wallpaper Gallery... I'm working on the NGE/Eva gallery now. October 29, 2001 Fixed up more templates (all of the remaining ones). Of the 4 new Ranma wallpapers, 2 are finished. The other two? Maybe later... October 19, 2001 I've fixed all templates and HTML in the site. There are actually some new Ranma and Macross7 wallpapers with the Neon Genesis Evangelion ones, but I just don't have the time to put 'em up. Maybe one by one...? Work... October 14, 2001 After several heavy sleepless nights, I'm proud to say that the VCD project is GREAT!!! I mean my sister said that it's so very good! But added that she just can't understand it because she hasn't played it yet, and she's now planning to start FFVIII! But unfortunately, shipping rates are a pain in the ass... $30 minimum!?!?!?!?! I have to find another way... And yep, payment would be another little trouble... Please e-mail me for suggestions. Thanks. October 12, 2001 The VCD project is GREAT!!! I'm still enhancing it though. Hey, for those interested, how does $5 per disc sound? The whole thing is just one disc... Oh yeah, that $5 already includes shipping, but I still have to ask for our shipping rates here, so I can lower that price... Our family is really having financial difficulties these days so I did this project to help with the expenses... Please contact me if you are even interested in the slightest... October 10, 2001 I started working on this project a few days ago, and I think it's going fine... It's a VideoCD of Final Fantasy VIII. No, they're not a brand new movie or something. They're a collection of memorable CG-movie moments in FFVIII. I don't know how long the total film size will be, but I will update you all with it. As I speak, I am testing (burning-writing) a VCD of the partial movie I created to see if it works. If anybody wants to get it too, I'll be glad to send 'em one... :) No, trust me, I'm serious about it. Just drop me a line. October 7, 2001 The Midnight Countdown now has a (if I may say so...) GREAT splash page... go check it out!!! BTW, I'm still working on those wallpapers... don't worry... it's just because games... ahh sheeshh... September 24, 2001 Awfully lot of things to do now, now that I'm working :P... Anyway, I've updated the whole Anime section except for Rurouni Kenshin, because it's a big gallery and it may take time... Also, please download the BankGothic Md BT font for viewing pleasure... it's a cool font I tell ya! Anyway, I forgot the other things I did for the update... September 23, 2001 As you can see, the site now has a VERY new layout... Well, except for the color scheme, which I still find cool =)... Anyway, the Neon Genesis Evangelion wallpapers are still pending... September 12, 2001 I forgot to update the links on the Skins Gallery!!! There, it's fixed now... Oh yeah, WHAT THE @#%&*!$&# WERE THOSE TERRORISTS THINKING?!?!?!?!? <--(it's about the events in the US yesterday) September 8, 2001 I've added ALL my Game Winamp Skins to the Games Winamp Skins gallery. I'm now preparing for the big update and addition of the Neon Genesis Evangelion gallery. September 7, 2001 I'm glad to say that the Winamp Skins gallery is now open!!! Well, I still have not found a way to store all of them to be available for you guys to download, so you'll have to go with the messageboards to get what you want. You request it on the "requests" forum. Oh and there are instructions on how to get them. I gotta go to sleep now... Oh yeah, I'm doing this at passed 12am of September 7... =) I AM SO TIRED!!! =) September 6, 2001 I've added MORE wallpapers in the Final Fantasy VIII gallery. AND, I've also added a gallery for Chrono Cross! I've also added the "author's site/e-mail" and also links for "contributors", that means contributors are welcome =). Just check 'em out in their respective galleries. But I still don't have any links attached with them yet. Oh yeah, and I'm also finished with the transfer of all galleries from/to their destination servers. I've also finished the Capcom Zipped Gallery. Now THAT'S a lot of things accomplished =). In summary, I've finished the Capcom gallery, transfers; added more wallpapers, and updated a HECK LOT of things in this site. I've got more to say but I'm tired, it's already 3am here... Tomorrow... =) September 5, 2001 In the unfortunate events (lost host, etc...) that has happened, I'm not just about to give up. I've updated the Rurouni Kenshin Gallery with 6 new wallpapers! 2 new ones for the Kenshin gallery and 4 new ones for the RK-Groups gallery. The exams just ended yesterday!!! And now I'm preparing the HTML for Neon Genesis Evangelion, Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, etc... whatever =) Oh yeah, I'm also planning to put up thumbnails of Winamp Skins that I find GOOD. I really like to share the Winamp Skins I have in my PC but I don't have the server/space to do so. So, basically, what I'll do is to put up thumbnails and you guys ask me by email to email you the ZIP files... OK? HEY!!! I've got a better idea! The messageboards still exist... so why don't we use them? I'll update you guys with the Winamp Skin request system... September 2, 2001 On Wednesday, September 5 2001, I will start transferring my Games Gallery to Tripod and retain the Anime Gallery here in Geocities. I'll transfer the Art, Miscellaneous, and Music galleries to TheThreshold.net. Geocities, Tripod and TheThreshold.net gives me 20MB, 50MB, and 5MB each respectively... I shouldn't even be doing this (I mean typing this as in now...) because I have 2 exams tomorrow! and another one on Tuesday!!! Well, that's it for now, after that, prepare for a big update on new wallpapers! August 25, 2001 Well, the beat mania site now has a Flash intro... looks cool... =) And I'm dead tired... But it will be "rest at last" after the first week of September passes (no, not "rest in peace" silly...) August 24, 2001 Hello again... This month is so tiring... exams are coming in in about a week or so. Crap... Still no new updates for anime nor games, no updates to the beat mania site. But Moulin Rouge is great!!! =) Still no money though, no time, and most of all, it seems as though my health is going down too. Many people say I'm getting thinner and thinner everytime. I don't even have the time to MOD those NES Rockman music, no time to whatever... See ya! August 11, 2001 Hello everybody! I've launched (or released, or uploaded, or call it whatever you want) the "beat mania" site!!! I still don't have a title for the site... I'm still thinking with this stressed out mind of mine... Any suggestions are welcome. Well, I still haven't got anything in there actually. But the site design/layout keeps me impressed myself... =) August 10, 2001 Tomorrow's my birthday and like HECK I'm stressed out and starved and out of an Internet connection. Sheesh, I can't upload, I can't surf, I just stole some time to upload this small update. In the shortcoming of the 'net connection, I have already selected the new wallpapers to put up next time. But I still have no templates and HTML for them. On that note, one heck of a surprise is for ALL you "beat mania" fans out there! I'm a very avid fan of the game and I decided to create a site for it. I still won't be releasing it until tomorrow... That's when another site will be born on my birthday (again). It's like a gift to myself, nyek =) Anyway, details later... July 25, 2001 I'm done transferring the Bare Knuckle, Castlevania, Racing, and RPG ZIPPED galleries in the game wallpapers section. I'm finishing the Games section first because it's smaller. The only one left in the games section is the Fighting games zipped gallery because it's BIG... By the way, I'm already 25% done with both of my term papers. July 24, 2001 For some news: I found out that most (if not all) internet hard drive or storage services now ask for payment... so no more chances for that. BUT... but... I just have another great option... just stay tuned for it, and I'm already starting to move my zipped files there. By the way, my term papers are already on pending so I have to finish them first before that zippy-storage-downloadable-blahblah... Also, for those of you playing Final Fantasy VIII, I just had this wild idea to start a real live Triple Triad card game. Although some people may say, "it WAS, and you're just imitating, and whatever", I can say that the company in Japan just released it limitedly. And for those thinking about the thing that it will be illegal to do so, I'm gonna ask Squaresoft about it. Oh yeah, I forgot, if it's feasible and possible, this is only gonna be in the Philippines (or maybe even Metro Manila only). Anyway, I'm still praying that it should work. Just stay tuned for the wallpapers, ok? July 23, 2001 YES! YES!!! I GOT IT!! I've solved the problem for the space for where to put the ZIP files! Well, kinda... Freedrive... I hope everyone's ok with it... I'll explain the details when I get home from school because I just freakishly thought about it while preparing my things for school. I don't know how but I did... I still have to check out the Freedrive site because I still have my old account there. I forgot how much (or less) space it allow per account. But we'll find a way... that's for sure. Oh yeah, while the ZIP files are on hold, get ready for new wallpapers from Final Fantasy VIII and Neon Genesis Evangelion, if I ever find the time to upload these files... =) Just be patient with me because I'm already losing my patience with Crosswinds.net July 8, 2001 Bad news guys... Crosswinds.net suddenly just erased me from their members list... I didn't violate any of their terms and they just deleted hours and hours of uploads of zipped wallpapers!!! It'll be obvious that the links to the Zipped Galleries will be broken. I've complained already, but they haven't replied for 3 days now. I hope you could understand. Those uploads were worth more than a hundred dollars of internet access. damnit.... I can almost guarantee that they removed me because they thought that my zipped files were ROMS. And no they aren't. They didn't test it. They removed it. Cost me 100 bucks. And now I'm dead. If ever they see they're wrong, what can they do? sorry????? No, it just won't give me my time and money back.... Oh yeah, I've also fixed the Macross7 Gallery thanks to tifa911@aol.com... June 25, 2001 On a short note, I had a nice chat with someone (or people) in the chatroom. Yes, there was actually a person I accidentally met in the chatroom. And her name is Myste. She's an 11-year-old girl from Pennsylvania who chatted with me (I forgot the time but this was the range) from 10:00am - 12:00pm GMT +8:00. She was with her sister, Danielle who is 7 years old. Young crowd, isn't it. Oh yeah, please register to the messageboards so that we could have a nice community going on now... =) Thanks for the support! June 24, 2001 I'm approximately 40% done with the Rurouni Kenshin Zipped Gallery. Wow, this is taking too long. And with OJT (on-the-job training) coming back tomorrow, I'll be cut off with time, I hope I can still maintain the consistency. To recap what has happened after during the 22-23 of June, what a day... First, my PC blows up. As in the power box of the casing blew up, short-circuited, smokes... I had to buy a new one. And then the FTP crap, then a jeepney hit my car (or at least the car I was driving) that afternoon, and then my INTERNET EXPLORER pisses me off by CRAPPING UP!!! I don't know how to explain the errors of my IE but when I use it to preview pages on my hard disk, ALL as in ALL images don't show up. I don't know how to repair it. I'm going to try to reinstall my Windows 98. I didn't do crap to my IE so I don't know what went wrong... what a day... whew... I'll be updating the Links page in short while for some people... =) June 21, 2001 Now this is utter crap... In the middle of my uploading season for the Rurouni Kenshin gallery (FYI it's 69.1MB large), crosswinds.net has just restricted FTP access to paying members "due to abuse". Ok, I'm already approximately at the 16.06th% of the progress and THIS happens... what a world we're in now... Anyway, I'll still continue to upload. And as for the new additions like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Chrono Trigger, and Chrono Cross, they'll be arriving after I upload the files... Or better yet DURING my uploading period... =) Just be patient, ok? ;) June 18, 2001 I've started creating and uploading the Anime Zipped Galleries. The first thing I did was the Gundam Gallery! My next target is gonna be the Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X) gallery, then the Ranma gallery, then Magic Knight Rayearth. Then Macross7. Then I'll be finishing off the art and misc wallpapers before I create new anime/game galleries! See ya! June 10, 2001 Yeah! My exams are finished! And I've got a BIG surprise (or actually a FIRST in my four years on the net)... Yeah, exams is due next week and I'm still meddling with this... =) Anyway... =) May 23, 2001 I forgot to say that the Bare Knuckle and Castlevania galleries of the Games Section are already provided with their corresponding BMP in ZIP files... Next will be the Racing and the RPG galleries, the Fighting gallery is just so big... =) May 17, 2001 Actually, the Games Gallery is all done, PERFECT VERSIONS IN BMP!!! I am a quality freak especially in these digital things (wallpapers, music, bitrates, etc), and I would honestly say that not all of my wallpapers here are "quality perfect". I would upload them in the highest quality I can (the highest quality when I found/made them). BUT BUT BUT!! I cannot access the FTP server of the server yet, so there would still be no BMP formats in ZIP. I don't know if it's usually like that or if it's my 'Net account that's been buggy lately. I have already re-organized the whole Anime and Games Gallery!!! And they are already available... But some thumbnails will still be absent because I haven't created them yet... =) Oh yeah, and if everything REALLY goes as planned, expect MAJOR uploads because of unlimited webspace... ;) May 16, 2001 Wow, this is going to be one heck of a big update if everything goes fine (a pre-update for the big one actually)... I've rearranged the galleries so that there wouldn't be too many galleries. Like all racing games go to Games/Racing, and RPGs go to Games/RPG, etc... happy downloading!!! For those who don't know, well it's a portable videogame system that has just been released this year 2001. You know that there are always the "don't do this, don't do that" in manuals of electronic equipment, right? Well, this one's VERY different I tell you. So many things happened... The most shocking event that happened was the brutal murder of one of my former classmates in high school. DAMN THEM CORRUPT MILITARY PEOPLE OF ROTC!!! For those in the Philippines or in Manila, I will assume that you have at least heard of it. But for those not of this country, ROTC is the Reserve Officer Training Corps. It's supposed to be training the male college students for some purpose in the military, and it's not optional to take the subject. Many people suffer torture from this, corruption, etc. But Mark Welson Chua stood up for the right thing to do. The result was the dismissal of the highest officer in that school. He received a death threat, and then he was murdered. I won't go into details as it is not appropriate anymore and because it happened 2 weeks ago already. BARON, may God bless you and may the thing you did have a great effect on the ROTC!!! On the other side of things, I'VE FINALLY BEEN ABLE TO CREATE A WALLPAPER!!! I'm sorry to say that it's only one wallpaper. Crap, this life really doesn't give me time... Anyway, I worked hard for it and it's in The King of Fighters Wallpaper Gallery. It's about Kyo and Iori, the famous rivals of the great game... I've also got a lot of personal things going on that don't need mention... ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US!!!! HAHAHAHA!!! (sorry 'bout that...) If you guys have been surfing the Internet these past few days, you would have seen the issues about a game called "Zero Wing" for the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive. It's so crappin' funny... :D Many games have sufferered translation problems but this is THE worst!!! I'm not implying anything... Just that fact that it's the worst... :D Some of those that suffer translation problems: "I am power made fleash! Fell how weak you truly are!" - Akuma, from Street Fighter Alpha 2... and some others from the King of Fighters series (actually I forgot the specifics...) etc. :) February 21, 2001 This term's load is really heavy, but I have news... Next term I have a maximum of 3 days of classes a week only!!! That means I will have more time for wallpapers! And to top that, 2 of my subjects for next term are on the same day (Monday)! That means I have a max school day per week of 2 days per week! (The schedule of the 3rd subject is still TBA - To Be Announced). Oh yeah, and uh, anybody out there got any suggestions on how to get more webspace? My Geocities account is almost full (1.20MB free) and my thethreshold.net account is already full. If I get a LARGE webspace, I'll add all the original BITMAPS (.bmp) for crisper looking wallpapers (of course, I will do a survey for that again)... February 14, 2001 Crap, half a month and I still don't have the time for updates, by updates I mean more wallpapers. It's really difficult to find time to create wallpapers. I'm doing my term papers right now, and I am SO pissed off with this subject that it doesn't feel like Valentine's Day... The only time I have is to check up on the boards and visit some daily-visited-sites-by-me. I'm sorry for the lack of updates really. The King of Fighters '98 wallpapers... They're really fun to make, but finding time is NOT fun. With the death of the Dreamcast, the death of Final Burn's CPS2 emulation, and the death of Valentine's Day (???), I don't know how much I can take this any longer!!! Also, I have many new wallpapers that I just can't re-organize so that I could upload them... Crappy time... Anyway, Happy Valentine's!!!
